Valentine’s Day Gifts For Mr. DIY…
Wondering what to get the Mr. DIY in your life for Valentine’s Day? Or maybe you want to lay down a subtle hint to your Mr. to be a little more DIY ;). Justin and I put together a list of 10 Valentine’s Day Gifts For The DIY Guy, with handy tools and classes to help you out! These are either items that we have and love or would love to have.
Let me just start by saying if you aren’t familiar with Craftsy, then prepare to be #mindblown! They have a plethora of online classes ranging from cake decorating, knitting, gardening, all the way to woodworking. Justin and I have both taken these online classes, and they are beyond amazing! They are pre-recorded, so you can watch them anytime… anywhere. We are actually watching the Doors for Cabinetry & Fine Furniture right now and are making all of our kitchen cabinet doors and drawers from scratch. Plus this one is really a two-fer! He gets a cool gift.. and you may just get some new built-ins ;)!!
This one is Justin’s top pick since it is one of the items that he doesn’t have. Since we moved into the Arlington House, we have had plenty of projects to work on… unfortunately, the garage has not been one of them. He thrives on organization, so this system would be a dream for him.
This is another one hand selected by Justin, that he would love to have. For someone that may already have some of the essentials, this would be a convenient accessory to have when working on those DIY projects.
While most DIYers probably have a click and beep stud finder… this one is fancier, slightly more sophisticated version of that. Upgrading a tool like this, that are used on a regular basis would be a great gift idea.
Again… organization is really key for a DIYer. Having a place to keep all of your tools safe and away from the elements is always a great idea.
This is another mind blowing Craftsy class. This would be a great option for the DIYer that is maybe just getting their work area set up or someone that is really wanting to hone in on getting the best use out of their shop and tools. I really can’t say enough about these classes guys. Plus if he isn’t into the class you pick for him, they have a 100% happiness guarantee!
Justin and I pretty much do all of our projects at night, and while we do have lighting in the house and garage we use our little rechargeable flashlight ALL THE TIME! Even in the house we sometimes have to kill the power to a certain area to be able to work on something or just need a little extra light in a tight space, these little lights are crazy handy!
These are Justin’s favorite work gloves. They are an essential DIY accessory, and you really can’t have too many pairs.
I bought this cordless nailer for Justin shortly after we moved into the Arlington House, and it has been one of his go-to tools every since. This is much more convenient than a pneumatic nail gun, not to mention much quieter!
This is one of Justin’s newest loves! Justin has wanted one for quite a while, but we just always seemed to make do without it. We finally got one a few weeks ago while working on a project, and now it seems like we are always like… “oh we can just use the Kreg Jig!!” for EVERYTHING. We both highly recommend Kreg tools. Kreg just seems to think of every way to make projects easier.
